Wow, long time no see! A lots been going on lately so I've not had time to post anything in this Journal thing, infact I've been uploading pics for the last few months here while being completely oblivious to the fact I hadn't updated this at all!

So where to start?

Well, I spose I'll get the bad news out the way first. I unfortunately lost the use of my Canon 350D back in August, it was a sad day. The camera technically still works, but the pop-up flash wont pop-up. Now I don't use the built in flash, I much prefer external flashguns, but if the pop-up flash wont come up, my experience selling cameras and offering camera advice at work tells me theres clearly an electrical fault somewhere in the camera, and the more I use the camera, the worse it'll get until the camera dies completely. So until now my 350D is officially out of action until I can afford to repair it!

Now for the good news! naturally without a camera, I'm lost. I love photography, I'm studying photography, I work in a camera store and I want to become a professional photographer, so not having a camera kinda renders all the above slightly redundant! So naturally, losing my 350D means I needed a new camera and some better lenses to compliment the new camera, and thus I gave a warm welcome to my new Canon EOS 40D with 17-85mm IS USM Lens and 70-300mm IS USM Lens! And we've been inseperable ever since!

As I mentioned above, I'm studying photography, and as a result I've noticed a massive improvement in my photography, I don't wish to sound big headed, but I've rarely been 100% happy with my images, but since starting this course, I'm noticing as I learn more, I'm applying more of that knowledge, and thus getting much better results So far I've covered night photography, long exposures and studio still life. All of which I've wanted to try out for ages but just never had the time nor resources to! So its been great to finally give it all a go.

So whats new to come. Well I'm starting my first project for college soon, subject for now is top secret, but it should be good, and I've got my first semi-nude/glamour/lingerie shoot coming up in exactly a weeks time which I'm very excited about! So keep your eyes peeled for some pics from that. Other than that you'll ofcourse notice the usual odd images popping up here and there, and maybe I'll update this abit more regular too!
